Joke about using Scar as a rug,replaced with something about a woodpecker They took out so much of what worked in the original. Timone and Pumba where the closest to acceptable, although not perfect Rafiki might aswell have been left out as he had lost his once wize ora Simba and Nala young and old had no place in this movie. The Hyenas offered no comical relief with Ed being a major disappointment.

Scar did not sound scary,more like an old man like anything else, even Mufasa (James Earl Jones) sounded flat and unconvincing. Not a single cast member felt like the understood there part. Not only do we have new interpretations of classic songs, that worked, bit some of the artist can’t even pronounce the words properly. Bad enough that I started writing just after the death of Mufasa. After reading all the reviews I at least didn’t expect it to be angood movie, but how bad could it be.

I’m one of those adults whom still know the Original Lion King word for word. This movie blew me away, they really did the animated version justice – especially with the soundtrack. When u realized that this is Scar version of saying I just can’t wait to be king. No one: Literally no one: Nor even Jesus himself: 0:00 : NYAAAAAAAA. The instrumental parts sound very similar to each other. It sounds like SPIRIT is a remake of circle of life. Kind of hints that they were once closer, and shows how kind Mufasa is. One part I DO like about this version is the revelation that Scar once tried and failed to take over, but Mufasa refused to banish him because of them being brothers. After the murder of his father, a young lion prince flees his kingdom only to learn the true meaning of responsibility and bravery.
